Il s&rsquo;agit de coller au mieux aux nouveaux imp\u00e9ratifs de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 mis en avant par Microsoft via son pack SP2 pour la mise \u00e0 jour de Windows XP.<\/p>\n<p>Dans une conf\u00e9rence de presse, le pr\u00e9sident d&rsquo;Intel, Paul Otellini explique que NX devrait \u00eatre disponible avec les prochains processeurs Pentium 4E et Xeon. Cette technologie (pr\u00e9sente sur les puces mais pas activ\u00e9e) permet de se prot\u00e9ger contre certains virus\/vers qui utilisent la technique des \u00ab\u00a0buffer overflow\u00a0\u00bb (engorgement de la m\u00e9moire tampon). Pour rappel, les puces Athlon 64 et Opteron d&rsquo;AMD supportent \u00e9galement cette technologie.<\/p>\n<p>Par ailleurs, Intel a \u00e9galement pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 qu&rsquo;il activera cet \u00e9t\u00e9 les instructions 64 bits sur ses Pentium 4 Prescott. Toutefois ses versions 32\/64 bits du processeur seront r\u00e9serv\u00e9es aux int\u00e9grateurs et uniquement pour le march\u00e9 des serveurs et des stations de travail.
